This is a replica of the sword used by Tom Cruise in the movie The Last Samurai. It features intricate samurai inscriptions on the blade guard, handle and end cap with the samurai code etched into the blade and another inscription carved into the wooden scabbard. The blade is made from polished 440 stainless steel and is 27 1/2" long, the overall length is 1 1/2 inches long. The scabbard is made from wood and has a gorgeous matte-black finish to it, it also features authentic Japanese long-wrapping. The carvings on the scabbard are both intricate and beautiful and make the sword really stand out. This is a striking and elegant piece that would be at home in any collection.

This is my very first sword and I must say, it's a beautiful weapon. The point of the blade is a little sharp so be careful. I ordered it Sunday and received it Thursday of the same week. No wonder there are only 3 left so order one now.

I honestly have no idea why it is priced the way it is. Admittedly the paint on the scabbard is a little shoddy and rubbed off in some places, but all-in-all the sword looks good. I was actually able to do frms with it and it held up without any 'shaking' which is common with similarly priced swords. It's unsharpened and aside from the made in china, 440 stainless steel stamp on the blade, I have no complaints at all.

This is an awesome collectible sword. The Bushido Code etched in the base of the blade is a nice touch. My first order of this sword was actually damaged in shipping and KarateDepot instantly shipped me a new one, they shipped one out even before I sent the damaged one back (which they also paid the shipping for).
